At Living Alive we believe it’s all about the little details. We spent many weeks exploring the Pyrenees until we stumbled upon this truly remarkable location; we knew instantly that this was a place we wanted to invite people to experience with us.
The combination of the high level of quality & care taken by our hosts at the trailside lodge, along with the extraordinary surrounding alpine landscape, of soaring peaks and hidden swimming spots; results in an environment highly conducive to the kind of restorative, adventurous and perspective lending experience we were looking for.
Guided by UIMLA International Mountain Leader, Rupert Hutchinson, with support from wild swimming, campfire cooking and mindfulness practitioner Elle Adams; this trip combines the key elements of small group size, unique destination and highly qualified & experienced facilitators to create a truly bespoke high-quality trip.
Let us lead you through a week of adventure, relaxation, delicious meals, moments of contemplation, laughter and exploration amongst the wonders of nature. You’ll come away refreshed, inspired and with memories you’ll never forget.
We’re really excited to share this amazing environment with a small adventurous, inquisitive & lucky group. We love it here and hope that you will too.
Our basecamp for the week will be in the grounds of a trailside mountain lodge, positioned along the historic GR10 trans-Pyrenean trail. Four artisan eco-yurt huts, each sleeping two people, peacefully positioned alongside a small stream provide the accommodation for guests. Each is equipped with comfortable beds, simple furniture, and share toilet and shower facilities.
We will cook and eat most of our meals in the green-roofed outdoor kitchen & firepit. Some evenings we will also enjoy delicious local, organic, seasonal meals in the Lodge’s communal dining room, prepared by their talented team of cooks.
Walking trails lead directly from basecamp into the mountainside, reaching up towards 3000 metre peaks, as well as wild thermal hot springs nestled into the hillside 1 hours walk away. One night of the week, we will take an overnight adventure into the mountains to sleep out underneath the stars.
